Preparation

How to prepare for the visit

A little prep saves up to 30% of work time and cuts the risk of damage. Four simple stages below: the day before, the morning of, during the work, and after. If anything is unclear — send a photo and I’ll tell you what to do.

Stage 1

The day before

10–15 minutes the night before saves 30 in the morning and lowers the risk of having to reschedule.

Documents ready

Instructions, receipts or item codes — paper or PDF

Check the set

Open 1–2 boxes and make sure nothing is missing

Clear the zone

1.5 m around the work area, hallway clear

Know the wall

Concrete, drywall, aerated concrete or brick — if we’ll fix to it

Confirm the slot

Agreed window, lift / no lift, floor number

Phone charged

To stay in touch and receive the photo report

Stage 2

The morning of the visit

A final check 30 minutes before I arrive — so I can start straight away instead of waiting in the hall.

What to do

  • Close pets in another room
  • Clear the path from the door to the work spot
  • Move fragile and expensive items away from the zone
  • Cover rugs and soft furniture with film
  • Check for a socket nearby — for the drill
  • Unplug the old appliance an hour before

Flag in advance

  • Floor 5+ without a lift — surcharge applies
  • Narrow stairs or restricted access
  • Water or electricity outage in the building
  • Other tradespeople working in the flat in parallel
  • Allergies — if you need dust precautions
Stage 3

During the work

Quiet means productive. Stay close for questions but give the worker room to move.

Stay reachable

10 seconds to answer beats 10 minutes of waiting

Ventilation

Silicone and dust — better with the window open

Give space

Easier to work without someone over the shoulder

Coffee optional

Thanks for the hospitality — but not required

Kids elsewhere

Safety — sharp tools, small parts everywhere

New tasks on the fly

Spot something else in the same room? Say it now

Stage 4

After the work is done

Accepting the job — we walk through it together. Photo report, payment, warranty. No formalities.

Accepting the work

  • Check drawers and doors — open and close smoothly
  • Tap the corners — the unit is steady
  • I’ll show how to adjust hinges and soft-closers
  • I’ll explain how to use it properly

Payment and warranty

  • Pay on completion — cash, transfer or link
  • Receipt or work report on request
  • 6-month warranty on assembly, 3 on repair
  • If something slips later — message me and I’ll come back
  • I take packaging out to the landing or for disposal
Anything unclear?

Send a request — we’ll figure it out

Not sure about the prep — message me. I’ll explain for your specific case what matters and what doesn’t.
